The sun is shining and I wanted something quick and simple that I could make on the BBQ for lunch. So these simple but spicy turkey burgers were made. Served along side brioche buns, greek salad and a fennel salad they made an easy but tasty lunch for all.
Note: these don’t need egg to hold them together
Makes 5 burgers
500g turkey mince (I find breast and leg mixture more juicy)
1 tsp rans el hanout
1 tsp harrissa paste (more if you like it spicier)
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander
sea salt and pepper
Put everything into a bowl and then knead lightly until all the mixture is mixed together thoroughly. Wet your hands and from into 5 round but fairly thin patties. Chill in the fridge for a few hours to firm up.
Place on the BBQ and cook for around 15 minutes depending on the heat of your BBQ. Check the inside of the burgers to make sure they are cooked through. Serve in toasted brioche buns, with chilli sauce or tomato salas or a sauce of your choice.
